How do I bookmark text on the web?
1.Select the line that you want to bookmark and click
button in the Chrome toolbar.
2.In the Save Your FavText dialog box, you can add more context to your bookmarks with these
parameters.
a) Line Name: Can put 1–3-words title to remember this line. Basically, summarize your note or
bookmark.
b) Author Name: Give credit to the author.
c) Category: There are hundreds of public categories. Enter a letter and autocomplete shows
categories. Select what you need. Else, enter your own category name. This would be
remembered and shown in future saves. You can customize these categories for subject-
based indexing or collaboration.
d) Metadata: Select from the auto-metadata suggestions or enter your comma separated list of
metadata.

How do I view my bookmarks?
1.Click button in the Chrome toolbar.
2.Click View All.
3.You can now search for a keyword or scroll down to see records.
List the common actions that I can perform on my saved bookmarks.
1.Click button in the Chrome toolbar.

3.Select any line and notice the action buttons.
a. Copy the line to the Clipboard
b. Edit the bookmark. You can change line name, author details, edit metadata or
categories.
c. Delete the bookmark.
d.Click ... to see more options, such as view, share, print and export to pdf or xls file.
e.View: Click View to open the URL page where you had selected the bookmark. Notice
the bookmark is shown selected.
How do I save bookmarks?

3.Select records you want to print.
a.Select the check box for the rows you want to print. Can select one row or multiple rows.
b.To select all records, select check box to the left of Text Label.
c.Click XLS or PDF button in header row to get a XLS or PDF of selected rows.
How do I share bookmarks?
1.Click button in the Chrome toolbar.

3.Select the record you want to share.
4.Click ... to see more options and select Share.

How do I change preferences?

3.You can change your FavText view by selecting or clearing the columns such as Author Credit,
Line Name, Metadata, Category and URL in FavText Preferences window.
4.If you want to customize the categories that appear for you then you can expand the
and select or clear the categories. Only the selected categories will display for
you.
How do I set collaborators?
1.Click button in the Chrome toolbar.
2.Click Collaborate button:
3.Click on the Invite Collaborators button:
4.Enter the email address of the users you want to invite and click Send in the Invite New Users Via
Email.
5.The invited user appears in the collaborator list.
How do I create a collaborator group?
1.Click button in the Chrome toolbar.
2.Click Collaborate button:
3.Click on the Create Collaborator button:
4.In the Create your group dialog box, enter Group Name.
5.Select members that you want to add in the group.
6.Click Create to create the group.
You have added a shared group. If invited users have FavText installed, they will start seeing the new group in their category list. If they don’t have FavText then they will get an email to download FavText. Any data saved by them and you would be visible to the entire group.
